Lori and Barry
While on a date at Dave and Busters, Barry was eager to hop in the photo booth with Lori. Little did she know that he had a ring hidden in his sleeve. As the last picture was taken, they closed their eyes for a kiss, which gave Barry the opportunity to secretly raise the ring to the camera. Barry was quick to steal the printed photos and then led Lori onto a private patio where he gave her the pictures to inspect. As she was looking over their pictures, Barry withdrew the ring and got down on one knee. As soon as Lori spotted the ring in the photo, Barry happily asked her to marry him.
It was always Lori's dream to get married where she grew up. She wanted a charming, romantic outdoor wedding with unique and personal touches. Barry and Lori both worked together to plan all details of their wedding so Lori's dream wedding could come true.
They made the ceremony true to heart. They wrote special words to read to each other, in addition to the traditional vows. Barry's dad married them, his sister sang a special dong during the ceremony and their kids were included in the pouring of the sand. God, family, and love were present throughout their ceremony, just the way the bride and groom wanted.
Personal touches were also noted in the decor. Lori's parents made the wood signs used for the ceremony aisle and the wooden swing. The wood came from Lori's parents' barn! The wine bottles used for the ceremony aisle and reception tables were wine bought during Lori's trip to Italy.
What's a backyard wedding without good ole' fashion fun and delicious barbecue? Famous Dave's catered the reception with some classic outdoor barbecue fare! The chocolate and vanilla cake was created by Cakes by Bethany. The bakery did a wonderful job taking note that one of their children has nut allergies and provided a nut-free facility for the cake, which could put the couple at ease. Barry and Lori planned an entertaining reception filled with lawn games, dancing, eating, spirits, and photo opportunities. Everything came together and ended with an exit filled with sparklers!
It is easy to say that this blissful couple had their perfect, quintessential backyard wedding. Dreams do come true!
